The race started at Sunset Beach Resort, Babak Samal Island at exactly 4am. Around 10am the heat dropped at 38 degrees and few runners from Japan, Singapore and local athletes did not finish the course due to scorching heat.

 

This year we have 18 mountain runners for 50 miles (first batch), 24 runners for 50km category and 39 newbie trail runners for 25km category.

THE CHAMP

The 1st Male Champ of 50 Miles Category is Mr. Vincent Durier from France with a time of 14:30:19 hours, and the Female Champ is Ms. Manilyn Mamugay, a local athlete from Terra Runners Club of Mati City, Philippines with a time of 18:59:48 hours.

Male Champ of 50km Category is Mr. Edgel Obrero from Don Carlos Bukidnon, Philippines with a time of 9:26:09 hours and the Female Champ 50km is Ms. Elizabeth Ornopia from Davao City, Philippines with a time of 14:29:27 hours. And the Male Champ of 25km Category is Mr. Choi Quimada also from Davao City, Philippines with a time of 3:05:29 hours and Female Champ is Ms. Aren Beatriz Amigleo from Pangantucan Bukidnon, Philippines with a time of 4:14:46 hours.

SAFETY & SECURITY

The CDRRMC Igacos Rescue Team and City Health supported this race from the very beginning till the end. 2 Rescue Ambulance posted at the venue and mobile at the Aid Stations. Thank you so much for your support!!

FOOD & AID STATIONS

Food was served during the race with Lechon/Roasted Pig ( lunch through dinner ), Lechon/Roasted Chicken ( dinner), Grilled Fish, Rice, Cold Water and Soft Drinks. And at the Aid Station as usual no food wrapped with plastic. Boiled Eggs, Pacwan, Apples, Fresh Buko, Energy Drinks, Solid Food (at AS4), soft drinks, ice and water were offered.
